A floral bouquet in acryla gouache, watercolour and coloured pencil on laser cut wood. This series of paintings showcase wooden bouquets suspended within a coloured tray frame. Each painting is entirely unique and focuses on dreamlike compositions highlighting the expressive mark-making and a desire to show paint as it merges and dries.
Barely Concealed is an early summer al fresco lunch of a painting. Imagine a bouquet, messily plonked onto a table outside, fabric tablecloth underneath and lots of messy piles of bountiful food nearby. The vase in this scene is of course hand painted locally, and probably quite chipped.
Each wooden bouquet was drawn by me and before I then converted the shape into a vector design and had it laser cut ready to paint. Please see the video for full details and the 3D nature of the painting.
